يرصد المسلسل في قالبٍ كوميدي الواقع الاجتماعي والسياسي الذي فرضته الحدود السياسية بين ضيعتي (أم النور وأم النار) على الحدود السورية اللبنانية. بالإضافة إلى العديد من الإسقاطات السياسية التي تصف العلاقات الاقتصادية والدينية بين القريتين، وما يحدث بين الأهالي من صراعات.
