春の坂道

父・柳生石舟斎（宗厳）に後を託され、徳川家康、秀忠、家光と、三代の将軍に側近として仕えた武人・柳生但馬守宗矩（たじまのかみむねのり）。柳生新陰流を確立する一方、体得した剣と禅の道を政治や教育の場に生かし、将軍指南役から大目付となった。太平の世を築くために一生をささげた柳生宗矩の生涯を描く。

Yagyu Tajima Munenori, a samurai who was entrusted to his father, Yagyu Ishifunesai, and served as an aide to the third shogun, Tokugawa Ieyasu, Hidetada, and Iemitsu. While he established the Yagyu Shinkage-ryu, he used the sword and Zen path he had learned in politics and education, and became a major figure from the role of Shogun. It depicts the life of Munenori Yagyu, who devoted his life to building the world of Taihei.
