「輝哥」吳錫輝識飲識食，這次偕同「糖妹」黃山怡遊走珠三角，訪尋傳統名菜的發源地，推介地道食材、廚師的功夫佳餚，從食物的源頭探究中國飲食文化。節目介紹中山、潮汕、順德的名菜特產。中山脆鯇肉質爽口，輝哥、糖妹一網打盡「一魚六吃」菜式；石岐乳鴿遠近馳名，二人前往瞭解它的製作過程。潮汕手打魚丸、魚飯、蠔餅、滷水獅頭鵝等，美食不能盡錄……他們還拜訪名廚探尋幾近失傳的古早潮菜。來到順德大良，輝哥、糖妹品嚐不同種類的雙皮奶；並見識均安蒸豬的烹調方法，且即席「太公分豬肉」與眾分甘同味。各款地道美食紛陳，一道道經典名菜再現眼前，其他尚有神灣菠蘿、沙溪扣肉、潮式粿品、陳村粉宴、「均安四大名菜」、非一般「九大簋」等精彩菜式食品，教人目不暇給！經過這趟「為食之旅」，二人引領觀眾見識過傳統飲食的智慧，瞭解中華廚藝的博大精深，想必亦深深感受到傳統菜式傳承下去的必要性。
