実在する専従班をモデルに、“文字”を糸口に未解決事件を解決していくミステリー。「特命捜査対策室」第6係(文書解読係)に異動してきた肉体派熱血刑事・朋(波瑠)が、文字フェチの頭脳派刑事・理沙(鈴木京香)とバディを組み、文章から書き手の性格や思考を推測する文書捜査の重要性を認識していく。
