The main character of the film, Arthur Korolev, is hiding abroad. His wife Elvira is pregnant, but she has health problems that threaten her and the unborn child. The doctors prescribed her daily injections. A break in taking the drug for more than 48 hours will result in a fatal threat to the life of the mother and child. Arthur's enemies manage to track him down, and they kidnap his wife when she arrives in Moscow. Arthur realizes that if he doesn't find Elvira within the next two days and give her a life-saving injection, he will lose his pregnant wife. Arthur sets the clock to count down and sets off in pursuit of the kidnappers.
