解放前夕，我党特工陈少杰（傅程鹏饰）、黄山（赵荀饰）被派往西江执行营救被俘同志的任务，与之配合的正是先其一步来到西江秘密潜伏的乔燕（侯梦莎饰），三个人配合非常默契。国民党残余势力自知大势已去，开始与土匪勾结；此时，解放军的陈少杰、乔燕、黄山三人又成为了剿匪工作队的得力干将，他们肩负着维护社会安定团结的任务，与大凉山地区的土匪周旋，而土匪的破坏行动一直暗潮涌动。在与这伙势力的殊死较量中，陈少杰等人一次次阻止了敌人的阴谋，这使土匪将陈少杰视为眼中钉，肉中刺，千方百计想将其铲除。最终陈少杰凭借着忠诚的信念与智慧，损毁了敌人的诡计，带领同志们将土匪势力成功歼灭。
