The series presents the adventures of the poor Nowik family, who move - through the lottery winner of a broth producer - from a block of flats to a luxury apartment building, inhabited mainly by well-known and wealthy people. They effectively hide their low social position, and the unknowing neighbors mostly like and count on their opinion. With the success of Novices, Grazyna's parents are dissatisfied, very reluctant to Piotr.
